Applicants to Emmaus Baptist College may be admitted on any of the following bases:

  1. High School diploma with a 2.0 GPA or better;
  2. High School equivalency diploma (GED);
  3. Satisfactory scores achieved on the examinations of the American College Testing (ACT)or similar recognized organization; or
  4. Applicants 24 years of age or older may be admitted without meeting the above requirements. After the successful completion of two courses (EN 101, English Grammar and Word Studies, HI 202 U.S. History to 1865) the student will be admitted to any degree or certificate program.


Emmaus Baptist College accepts students on the basis of proven spirituality, evangelistic zeal, good character, and scholastic ability. The applicant must give evidence of a commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and belong to a Bible believing church.

Students are admitted without regard to race, color, handicap, sex, age, national or ethnic origin, to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the College. However, Emmaus Baptist College does limit the pastoral program to men because of the biblical qualifications of a pastor. The College does not discriminate in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs, athletic and other school administered programs. Emmaus Baptist College reserves the right to withdraw a student for other causes at any time.

Transferring Students

Applicants transferring from other schools must present a statement of honorable withdrawal. Emmaus Baptist College may accept credits earned in other institutions on a case by case basis. Courses acceptable for transfer must be substantially on the same academic level and comparable field of study as offered by Emmaus Baptist College.

Part-Time Students

Students enrolled in Emmaus Baptist College for less than 12 semester hours will be considered part-time students. Part-time students must follow the same procedure for enrollment as full-time students.

Procedure for Application

To apply for admission, a student should follow steps outlined below:

  1. Submit the completed “Application for Admission” with the $20 application fee (non-refundable) to the Director of Admissions;
  2. Submit letters of recommendation from his pastor and two other people;
  3. Foreign students must submit evidence of English proficiency. Ability to communicate in English with sufficient comprehension to make passing grades is a minimal requirement;
  4. Transfer students must request a complete transcript to be sent to Emmaus Baptist College from each college or university attended. No course for which a grade of “D” is recorded can be transferred;
  5. Single students submit a completed dormitory application or, if under 18 years old, a statement from a parent that he will be living at home or with approved adults in the area; and
  6. Upon receipt of these materials, applicants will be notified of admission status.
